Jody Banks MBA FPFS.

CEO and Chartered Financial Planner.

What do you love most about your job?

I love meeting new clients, learning what drives them, and helping turn their financial goals into reality with the help of the team. There is something incredibly rewarding about seeing a plan come together, often over many years, and knowing we’ve played a part in making it happen.

What’s your role at Caple Banks and what does a typical day look like for you?

As CEO and a Chartered Financial Adviser, I balance leading the firm’s strategic direction with providing personalised advice to our clients. No two days are ever the same! I might spend the morning meeting clients to discuss investment, or retirement planning and the afternoon working with the team on improving processes, or developing new projects. My focus is always on maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ensuring our advice continues to make a meaningful difference to the lives of our clients.

What skills or strengths do you bring to the team?

I thrive on challenges and enjoy finding solutions to complex situations. I’m very much a detail person and take satisfaction in getting things right. I believe strongly in the power of collaboration and love working with others to find the best outcomes. My journey from administrator, to Paraplanner, Adviser and now CEO has given me a genuine appreciation of every role within the business and how they come together to create the best possible experience for our clients. I bring energy, determination, and a deep sense of responsibility to both our clients and our team.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, I love to spend time with husband and our two young children. We all enjoy travelling and try to visit at least one new country each year, with Senegal and Mauritius being recent highlights. Music has always been an important part of my life too and when I’m not working (or planning a trip!), I enjoy playing the piano and singing with our local choir.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

When I was younger I used to be a bit of a nature nut and once won a national competition to have dinner with Terry Nutkin!
