Helen Duncan.
Client Manager.
What do you love most about your job?
My role within Caple Banks is extremely varied and I enjoy my contact with our clients both individually via Financial Services and corporately via our Employee Benefits Section.
What’s your role at Caple Banks and what does a typical day look like for you?
Currently I am primarily dealing with Annual Review meetings for clients. I also handle any queries that our clients have, assisting them with requirements between meetings and interim contact with their Advisers, as required. I attend some corporate meetings too, which I find enjoyable meeting new potential clients outside of the office.
What skills or strengths do you bring to the team?
I have been working in financial services since leaving school and with over 46 years' experience, 8 of those with Caple Banks. I feel I am able to assist with and support most roles within the company.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love to spend time with my family being an auntie to 5 nieces and nephew and also a great auntie to 6 of their children. I enjoy a good drama series on the tv and attending the cinema throughout the year, especially the art deco Sherborne Cinema, in Gloucester.
I am a part of a singing group called Got2Sing, who perform throughout Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. We have also performed several times at Birmingham Symphony Hall in front of over 2,200 people and have fundraised via the choir for many charities including Sue Ryder, Macmillan Cancer Support, Movember (men’s health charities), Children in Need, etc.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
Previously I worked for British Aerospace, Filton, Bristol and flew a Concorde Flight Simulator, through the Twin Towers in New York.
