What do you love most about your job?

I love how no two days are the same, and the challenge of piecing together the puzzle, especially when I know I am making a positive impact for the client. I find working together with the team to identify solutions very fulfilling. 

What’s your role at Caple Banks and what does a typical day look like for you?

My role at Caple Banks is a paraplanner which effectively means I work with the advisers to identify and implement the solution which works best for the client. My typical day will generally involve conversations with the advisers and my fellow paraplanners to identify the path which best suits the client. I will then begin working on constructing the advice, using technical analysis to ensure it is suitable and practical to implement. As no two people are the same, no two cases are the same, so each day presents fresh challenges and the learning never ends. 

What skills or strengths do you bring to the team?

I have been working in finance for 8 years, so I have built a large amount of experience working in a range of different roles. This allows me to assess each case from multiple viewpoints, helping to bring a rounded approach. I work well under pressure which helps in time sensitive cases and I’m also willing to assist my team members should this be needed.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love being outdoors and active, and recently found a passion running half marathons. One of my big interests in life is travelling, having spent 13 months in Southeast Asia and Australia in 2023-24. I am also a keen sports fan, regularly going to watch my local team Bristol Rovers with my family and friends.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

I am at this point, effectively a professional wedding guest, having attended 6 weddings in the past 12 months! This is showing no sign of slowing down any time soon…
